MORAVIAN’S STEPHANIE SEAMAN EARNS ECAC SOUTHERN
ALL-STAR SECOND TEAM HONORS

CAPE COD, MA --- Junior forward Stephanie Seaman (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named to the 2005 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southern Women’s Basketball All-Star Second Team announced Thursday by the ECAC.

Seaman helped Moravian to a 24-6 record this season and runner-up finishes in the 2005 Commonwealth Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southern Championship Tournaments. The Greyhounds were the top seed in each tournament.

Seaman, who was named to the Commonwealth All-Conference First Team for the second straight year, led the Greyhounds in scoring with an average of 13.7 points per game. Seaman, who was named the Most Valuable Player at both the 4th Annual Starters Moravian Winter Classic and the Catholic Tip-Off Tournament, also led the team with 7.9 rebounds per game to go with 50 assists, 40 steals, 14 three-pointers and 22 blocked shots.

Seaman, who had eight double-doubles on the year, was also named the Women's DIII News January Player of the Month. Seaman made 146 of 345 field goal attempts (42.3 percent) this past season and was 105 of 139 at the foul line (75.5 percent).

Seaman was also named an Honorable Mention All-American this season by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
