MORAVIAN’S STEVE WENDERFER NAMED TO MIDDLE ATLANTIC

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior forward Steve Wenderfer (Chester, NJ/Mendham HS) of the Moravian College men’s basketball team has been named the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Weekly Honor Roll for his performance last week.

Wenderfer helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week with a pair of home victories in Commonwealth Conference action. Wenderfer began the week with a career high 22 points and ten rebounds in an 85-82 overtime victory versus Elizabethtown College, his fourth double-double of the season. He made seven of ten field goal attempts and eight of 12 free throws with two assists in the win. Wenderfer then scored 15 points and added five rebounds and two steals in the Greyhounds’ 75-73 win over Susquehanna University. For the week, Wenderfer averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent (12 of 18) from the floor.

Moravian, 6-12 overall and 4-3 in the Commonwealth Conference, will return to action on Wednesday, February 2nd in a Commonwealth Conference game at Widener University tipping off at 8:00 p.m. in Chester.
